Common questions
Who is the electric utility in 43003?
AEP Ohio delivers power to most of 43003 (Ashley) and handles outages and repairs. Some addresses in and around 43003 are served by an electric cooperative such as Consolidated Cooperative. Co-op members aren't part of Ohio's choice program, so check who sends your electric bill.
What areas does 43003 cover?
Most mapped businesses in 43003 are inside Ashley village limits. The mailing city is Ashley, and your utilities follow the address, not the mailing city.
How many businesses are in 43003?
The Census Bureau's 2023 County Business Patterns counted 36 business establishments in 43003 with about 183 employees. That ranks 43003 704th among 1,222 Ohio ZIP codes by number of businesses. Businesses here on AEP Ohio can shop for supply the same way homes can.
Can I choose my electricity provider in 43003?
Yes, if your bill comes from AEP Ohio. Ohio lets homes and businesses buy power from a certified retail provider while AEP Ohio keeps delivering it. You can also stay on the standard offer.
What is AEP Ohio's Price to Compare?
It's the per-kWh supply price you pay AEP Ohio if you don't pick a provider. It's printed on your bill and changes during the year. An offer only saves money if it beats that number over the whole contract.
Who do I call when the power goes out in 43003?
Call AEP Ohio at 800-672-2231 or report it online. Your retail provider doesn't fix lines. If a line is down, stay away from it and call 911.
Is 43003 in an electric aggregation program?
Many Ohio cities, villages and townships buy power for residents through an aggregation program. Check the supply section of your AEP Ohio bill or ask the Village of Ashley whether you're enrolled. You can still choose your own provider.
Who provides natural gas in 43003?
Columbia Gas of Ohio is the main gas utility mapped for 43003. Smaller gas systems also show up in parts of the ZIP (Ohio Cumberland Gas). Confirm the gas company for your address before you call. If you smell gas, leave right away, then call 911 and 800-344-4077 from outside.
