Common questions
Who is the electric utility in 45172?
AEP Ohio delivers power to most of 45172 (Sinking Spring) and handles outages and repairs. Some addresses in and around 45172 are served by an electric cooperative such as South Central Power Company. Co-op members aren't part of Ohio's choice program, so check who sends your electric bill.
How many businesses are in 45172?
The Census Bureau's 2023 County Business Patterns counted 3 business establishments in 45172 with about 8 employees. That ranks 45172 1,207th among 1,222 Ohio ZIP codes by number of businesses. Businesses here on AEP Ohio can shop for supply the same way homes can.
Can I choose my electricity provider in 45172?
Yes, if your bill comes from AEP Ohio. Ohio lets homes and businesses buy power from a certified retail provider while AEP Ohio keeps delivering it. You can also stay on the standard offer.
What is AEP Ohio's Price to Compare?
It's the per-kWh supply price you pay AEP Ohio if you don't pick a provider. It's printed on your bill and changes during the year. An offer only saves money if it beats that number over the whole contract.
Who do I call when the power goes out in 45172?
Call AEP Ohio at 800-672-2231 or report it online. Your retail provider doesn't fix lines. If a line is down, stay away from it and call 911.
Is 45172 in an electric aggregation program?
Many Ohio cities, villages and townships buy power for residents through an aggregation program. Check the supply section of your AEP Ohio bill or ask the Village of Sinking Spring whether you're enrolled. You can still choose your own provider.
Who provides natural gas in 45172?
Gas service maps in 45172 show more than one system, and some rural addresses use propane. Check a recent gas bill for the property. If you smell gas, leave right away and call 911 from outside.
