Common questions
Who is the electric utility in 45866?
AES Ohio delivers power to most of 45866 (Montezuma) and handles outages and repairs. Some addresses in and around 45866 are served by an electric cooperative such as Midwest Electric. Co-op members aren't part of Ohio's choice program, so check who sends your electric bill.
Can I choose my electricity provider in 45866?
Yes, if your bill comes from AES Ohio. Ohio lets homes and businesses buy power from a certified retail provider while AES Ohio keeps delivering it. You can also stay on the standard offer.
What is AES Ohio's Price to Compare?
It's the per-kWh supply price you pay AES Ohio if you don't pick a provider. It's printed on your bill and changes during the year. An offer only saves money if it beats that number over the whole contract.
Who do I call when the power goes out in 45866?
Call AES Ohio at 877-468-8243 or report it online. Your retail provider doesn't fix lines. If a line is down, stay away from it and call 911.
Is 45866 in an electric aggregation program?
Many Ohio cities, villages and townships buy power for residents through an aggregation program. Check the supply section of your AES Ohio bill or ask the Village of Montezuma whether you're enrolled. You can still choose your own provider.
Who provides natural gas in 45866?
Gas service maps in 45866 show more than one system, including West Ohio Gas Co, and some rural addresses use propane. Check a recent gas bill for the property. If you smell gas, leave right away and call 911 from outside.
