Common questions
Who is my electric utility in ZIP 76366?
Oncor Electric Delivery (ONCOR) is the utility that delivers electricity and restores outages in 76366 (Holliday). You choose a Retail Electric Provider (REP) for your plan and bill. The rate table at the top of this page shows today's lowest 76366 plans at 500, 1,000 and 2,000 kWh, and you can switch through WattKarma (PUCT broker #BR220202) at no cost.
Who do I call when the power goes out?
Call Oncor at 888-313-4747 (24/7), text OUT to 66267 if enrolled in MyOncor Alerts, or use Oncor’s online outage tools. Your REP does not restore wires or poles. For a downed power line, stay far away and call 911 and Oncor.
How do I start water service when I move into 76366?
Small-town / rural North Texas ZIP — city utility or water supply corporation phones not confirmed from a stable public page for every parcel. Match the water provider on your bill or county appraisal / TCEQ drinking-water lookup before move-in.
How does trash and recycling work in Holliday?
Trash may be city-contracted, county, or private. Confirm with City Hall or landlord.
Who provides natural gas, and what if I smell gas?
Atmos Energy typically distributes natural gas where piped service exists near Holliday / 76366. Start service via Atmos Account Center or 888-286-6700. If you suspect a leak: leave immediately, avoid sparks, then call 911 and Atmos 866-322-8667 from a safe place.
Is electricity regulated or competitive here?
Delivery (wires, outages, delivery charges) is regulated through Oncor as TDU. Energy supply is competitive—you choose among licensed REPs. Always compare the Electricity Facts Label at your expected kWh usage.
Does Holliday use Dallas 311 or Fort Worth 311?
Wichita Falls and most 763xx towns use their own utility billing lines—not Dallas 311 or Fort Worth 311. Wichita Falls Utility Billing 940-761-7414; Water Distribution emergencies 940-761-4333. Life-threatening emergencies still dial 911.
Which internet providers serve 76366?
Common North Texas options include AT&T, Spectrum, and Frontier; availability varies widely across Wichita Falls, Vernon, and rural Clay/Archer/Young/Knox towns. Use each provider’s checker with your full street address.
What should I do before digging in the yard?
Call 811 (Texas 811) before any digging or landscaping that disturbs soil so underground electric, gas, water, and telecom lines can be marked. Hitting a line can be dangerous and costly.
